10 Travel Must Haves

I’m sure most of us know the feeling… we’re getting ready to travel. Whether it’s to the beach for a day, a week long trip to the coast or even a several week trip around the world all of us stand at the door before shutting it behind our backs thinking “did I forget anything?” Well we’ve put together a list of 10 travel must haves for any sort of traveling occasion.

  • Portable charger
  • You never know where you might purposely or accidentally end up. In the case of going to the beach, there are no outlets around and it’s important while traveling to have access to your phone so that you can get in contact with whomever, just in case you might need to.

  • Headphones
  • Headphones will help you zone out on a flight, on the beach, on a walk, and make talking on the phone easier whenever you are explaining to your friends back home how much fun you are having on your trip! It’s essential to have a good set of headphones whether they are wireless or not so that you have the best quality possible.

  • A Reusable Water Bottle
  • There is absolutely no reason to waste money on $3.50+ water bottles at tourist attractions or at the airport. Bringing your own Water Bottle not only is cost effective but will help you minimize pollution.

  • A Scrunchy
  • There’s nothing more annoying than searching for a hair tie or a scrunchy when you most need it and there is not one in sight. Double check that you have at least one (or 10) for hair emergency situations.

  • Chapstick
  • No one wants dry lips on a trip. Throw some chapstick or lip balm in your bag so that your lips are beautifully hydrated.

  • Face Towelettes
  • This is a game changer when traveling long distances, especially on flights. Face towelettes will help your skin feel refreshed and clean after a day of travel or activities in the sun.

  • A swimsuit
  • It’s never a bad idea to throw in a bikini. You never know if you’ll come across an opportunity to use it, even in cold weather. There could be a hot tub… :)

  • An Organized Bag
  • Bring a bag that has compartments so that you can easily find all of the essentials that you need. Try to keep it organized so that it doesn’t become too overwhelming when looking for items.

  • Neck Pillow
  • Whether you're traveling by car, train, or plane, a neck pillow will always come in handy. Or even if you want to take a quick snooze on the beach!

  • A Positive Attitude
  • Traveling is never fun when someone is grumpy. Take a deep breath and fully enjoy your trip!
